I booked 2 nights at Lake Manawa State Park after a couple of 450 mile days to rest. I took some time on my open day to cross over the Missouri River into Omaha Nebraska. I stopped for a photo at Charles Schwab Field, home of the College Baseball World Series. I also stopped by the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge which is a 3000-foot long walkway stretching across the Missouri River from Omaha Nebraska to Council Bluffs Iowa. There are walking trails there and it is Dog Friendly which Barron loved. The Lake Manawa State Park campground turned out to be one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever seen. Very large concrete pull through sites with brand new iron picnic tables and a fire pit. This is a state park so the "resort" amenities are not there but sometime nature outshines pickleball. You Know? If you're into water sports, the lake itself is very nice and right next to the campground. This is a secure campground with a gate code that will be emailed to you prior to check-in. I paid $41 per night which was reasonable for this fantastic campground. Website
