I entered Salt Lake City during an all day flood with visibility of less than 100 yards. I was amazed the next morning when I ventured out in
complete sunlight and noticed the city is surrounded by beautiful mountains. There were many sites I planned to see but due to some needed trailer
work and the overwhelming construction going on around Temple Square, parking was impossible and my sightseeing was limited. I did drive out to
The Great Salt Lake State Park but it too was limited due to construction/repairs. The State Park has a $10 entrance fee and there is a small
visitors center. I was able to address some projects and complete restocking with ease due to all the facilities in the area. I would like to
return someday and will monitor the construction in the years to come and pick the perfect time to visit again.

I booked 4 nights at the Salt Lake City KOA as I continue my trip south before the snow flies. This park is very nice considering it's
basically an intercity campground. It's packed with really nice amenities that seems to cover everyone. The sites are various sizes and
pull-through site 1122 was just long enough for my truck and trailer. The dirt patio on my site was the only letdown. There is a whole row
of small sites that attract camper vans. My site was $86.50 per night and considering the location and amenities I didn't mind paying what
I normally consider too high. The WiFi was pretty good as the canopy over most sites makes Starlink impossible. I also used my Verizon
Hotspot which had a lightning fast 5G connection. They also have coax cable here but the over the air channel search loaded 120 channels so
I never hooked up to cable. This is a nice place to stay after you get over the sticker shock.

There are several routes to Page Arizona from Salt Lake City including traveling directly through Zion National Park. Since this was a travel day I decided against the $15 tunnel permit for towing a trailer through the Zion-Mount Carmel Tunnel. I chose the route which exited I15 much sooner in Scipio, UT through Aurora, Circleville, Panguitch, down to Kanab, UT and east to Page, AZ. I stopped at a remote rest area to get my camera out of the trailer because the scenery became more and more amazing. The photos below are a brief snippet of what I witnessed on the drive day because there are few places to pull over and take a photo. The lesson I learned on this day is get off the interstate and take the scenic drive after you verify the safety of the route. I use RV Trip Wizard for towing on travel day.

If you're looking to hike red rock and slot canyons, enjoy water sports in the massive Lake Powell, and that perfect mix of adventure and
relaxation, Page, Arizona is The Place. Located on the Utah border, many of the places of interest are nearby just across the state line.
Page is a relatively young town founded in 1957 as a housing camp for workers building the massive Glen Canyon Dam which created Lake Powell.
Although the iconic Horseshoe Bend is within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the parking lot is operated by the City of Page so your
National Park pass does not cover parking. Antelope Canyon is owned by the Navajo Nation and requires guided tours operated by authorized tour
companies that have permits to operate on Navajo land. There is no shortage of hikes near Page including Spencer Trail, Cathedral Wash Trail,
Wiregrass Canyon, Page Rim Trail, and many more. Lake Powell has 2,000 miles of shoreline and countless vendors in Page offer rentals for those
looking to get out on the water by Boat, Jet Ski, Paddleboard, Kayak, you name it. Page has around 7,500 residents but due to tourism, Page
boast many great restaurants and an abundance supplies typical only found in much larger towns. Page, I Will Return!

I booked 5 nights at the Page Lake Power Campground continuing my trip south through Arizona before the snow flies. The website allowed easy booking
and I reserved site 54 at booking. With the State, City, and City Hotel taxes I paid $74.50 per night which is more than I'm accustom to paying. My
gravel site was an easy back-in and the campground also had really nice Tiny Houses Covered Wagons for those who want the amenities of the campground
without owning an RV. There is an indoor pool and hot tub and I did use the app paid laundry facility. The Walmart is less than 2 miles away at the
roundabout and the restaurant rich downtown district is just a couple of miles away. This campground is close to a great many outdoor hiking and
water sports attractions and although I thought it was a little pricey, I could see myself coming back.
